BS 7412 is the British Standard for the manufacture of PVCu windows. The standard itself specifies that the sections used are themselves manufactured to the requirements of another British Standard namely BS 7413. The standard covers the window construction, security, safety, weather tightness, operation and strength of the windows produced. To maintain this standard rigorous inspection and testing procedures have been developed. Each window undergoes 3 in-process inspections as well as an end of line inspection involving a 20-point check against the customer's order. In order to monitor weld performance, daily samples are taken from the welding machines and tested to destruction.
